Luang Prabang, Laos

My third trip to Luang Prabang. Luang Prabang is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and officially described as the 'best-preserved city in Southeast Asia.' While still charming and tranquil, it's change dramatically in the years since I first visited. Nearly all of the river-facing houses have been converted into up-market 4 and 5 star boutique hotels - often by joining two or three houses in a row. It's becom a popular desintation for the well-heeled, and as such, many locals can no longer afford to live in the city center. The paradaox of UNESCO.
