Okay so Chrome for Android's latest update now 'follows' Android OS-level system accessibility settings for zoom (text size) - which may come as a surprise to many of you. 

If OS-level text under accessibility is set to larger than default - Chrome browser will then show the following 'Zoom' menu item and text will appear zoomed but this might come as a surprise to developers who suddenly see their layouts at 10% larger or more without any warning.

While hardware has progressed in leaps and bounds, in my opinion, the basic interface and launcher metaphor for the Android operating system has remained woefully behind the times.
